Dear Mr. Aiken,
ATC has visited the above referenced site to observe and evaluate soils for Lot 8 prior to construction. At the
time of our visit, building pad construction was complete and turn down slab forms were in place. ATC
performed hand auger and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Testing (ASTM STP 399) at the four corners of the
proposed building, as marked. ATC performed DCP testing at 1-foot intervals to a depth of 5 feet or
satisfactory residual soils.
Test results, at areas and elevations tested, indicated that soils have sufficient bearing capacity to support a
foundation designed for a net allowable bearing capacity of 2,000 pounds per square foot (psi).
