12/01/03 Mfg Home Park Text Amendment To Ban the PlacementHARNETT COUNTY
NORTH CAROLINA
A RESOLUTION to ban the placement of Manufactured Homes built prior to the development
and adoption of Federal Safety Standards (Adopted July 1" 1976) within the Stewarts Creek
Township of HARNETT COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County shall adopt such resolution for the
purpose of promoting the health, safety, and general welfare of the county residents; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners was given the authority to adopt such a resolution by
the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, particularly G.S. 153A -340; and
WHEREAS, the Harnett County Planning Board has reviewed the proposed resolution and
recommends the adoption of the following:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
HARNETT COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA that all Manufactured Homes built prior to the
development and adoption of Federal Safety Standards (adopted July 1" 1976) shall not
be issued a building permit to locate or be moved within the Stewarts Creek Township of
Harnett County North Carolina.
Duly adopted this Is` day of December, Two Thousand Three and effective upon adoption
