Standing water was visually observed within the exterior footing excavation along the left side (orientation is facing dwelling from street). The in- situ soils consisted of a silty sand over a less permeable clayey sandy silt. Based on TE&D's visual observations and analysis, it was recommended that the standing water be removed by pumping and/or ditching. The footing excavations along the left side should then be "mucked out" approximately 2" to 3". The proposed concrete may be placed directly on the exposed subgrade soils and should be are adequate to support the anticipated loading conditions (i.e. 2000 psf) associated with the proposed residential structure- We appreciate the opportunity to assist you during this phase of the project.
