Members present: Beatrice Bailey Hill, Vice Chairman Joseph T. Bowden . Walt Titchener Staff present: Ken Joyner, Commercial Appraiser Boyd Beasley, Real Estate Appraiser Bobby Wicker, Tax Administrator Kay Blanchard, Clerk to the Board Citizens present: James Lockamy, President, Cumberland Square Shopping Center Association Dale Harris, C.P.A. for Association Vice Chairman Hill called the meeting to order at 9 a.m. to hear the appeal for the following property: CUMBERLAND Cumberland Square Shopping Center Association SQUARE SHOPPING Averasboro Township, Dunn Parcel numbers: 02-1516 0089 CENTER 02-1516 0089-02 02-1516 0089-03 02-1516 0089-04 02-1516 0089-05 02-1516 0089-06 02-1516 0089-07 02-1516 0089-08 Ken Joyner, Commercial Appraiser, Harnett County Tax Department, presented the County's evaluation of the property and how the assessed value of the property was calculated. . James Lockamy, President of the shopping center association, requested that the assessed value of the property be lowered. After discussion, Commissioner Bowden made a motion to assess the value of the property at $2,099,330. Commissioner Titchener seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. After further discussion, Commissioner Bowden moved to amend his motion to include a correction of $81,910, which changes the amount of the assessed value to $2,017,420.
